It’s a day for gratitude towards life, Happy Thanksgiving day!

Yeah, it’s Thanksgiving, The Much awaited day probably the best weekend of the year. It’s the time to share and care with our beloved ones and be grateful for what we have and appreciate what life has given to us. Prayers to gifts, from hosting a humble dinner to spending time with your family it all happens on this day. A day at peace long away from hectic regular work and relaxation is all that we need and what else could we expect on this day. Freshly pluck flowers and fresh-baked cookies not to mention the pumpkin pie and the specially made turkey.

It’s time to sit around the table and share love and happiness as this year had been so lonely as we faced a pandemic and keeping people apart. If not meeting your loved once you can always call them over a video call and share the happiness of life to be gifted and safe during the pandemic.

At this thanksgiving we are happy to share our time to thank our Truck Drivers who takes our nation’s needs forward by leaving their family behind during the pandemic to meet the nation’s needs. On this Thanksgiving as a way to exhibit our Gratitude, let’s say Thanks to a Truck Driver for their service. At TruckDues.com we wish our Truckers of America and everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

At this time we would also like to remind our dear Truckers about the upcoming HVUT tax deadline by November 30, 2020, for vehicles first used since October 2020. to be filed by the last day of the month following the month of its first use. Reach our tax experts at (347) 515-2290 for your Filing needs and also you may drop us an email at support@truckdues.com as we are happy to assist you relating to your Form 2290. Leave the filing to us and you have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.

Be responsible! Just sit back and relax and plan for thanksgiving

Truckers, we got to remind you about the upcoming HVUT tax deadline by November 30, 2020 for vehicles first used since October 2020. This deadline has been drafted based on the Federal Law that indicates that Form 2290 needs to be filed by the last day of the month following the month of its first use.

This deadline is considered to be applicable for vehicles that are purchased/re-purchased or in use since October 2020. This deadline does not have any impact on regular annual renewals done in July & August of every year.

The Heavy Highway vehicle used taxes are generally paid on vehicles with a minimum taxable gross weight of 55000 lbs or more and if the subjected vehicle is used on the public highways for commercial & agricultural purposes.

Unlike the other taxes, Form 2290’s are always been filed and paid upfront for the upcoming period. Hence, one must be sure of the fact if the truck would exceed the desired mileage limit for an exemption to pay the tax dues full in advance whereas if the truck might underrun the said limit to claim a complete exemption from paying taxes to the IRS.

As we are looking forward to Thanks Giving it is wise enough to file your pro-rated form 2290 right was which could eliminate last-minute rush up and you can relax during the long weekend

E-Filing HVUT Form 2290 via www.truckdues.com hardly consumes few minutes of your busy on road schedule. You don’t have to spare a lot towards hiring a high-priced professional to assist you with your 2290, instead, you can e-file your HVUT right off your PC or smartphone and get the services rendered as low as $7.99. Time is ticking! as the Form 2290 deadline Aug.31 fast approaches

Form 2290 for the tax year 2020 is due by Aug.31

Hello there dear truckers! Hope you’re all safe and sound. We are into the last phase of filing your taxes as we just have a week’s time before the deadline for your form 2290. As you know the form 2290’s are due by July and payable until august 31 every year. While most of you have filed your tax returns yet there are many who hasn’t filed yet. We would like to keep you posted about this as we are nearing the deadline and any filings done after august are subjected to penalties from the IRS.

Most of you have a common question asking that why should you renew now as your tag renewals are later this year and aren’t we supposed to do it only then? Well, that’s not how it works. Form 2290’s are always from July 1 to June 30 the following year and the taxes are to be paid upfront for the whole tax year. And how will the taxes be calculated? It depends on miles that you do in a tax year and the total gross weight of your vehicle {tractor + trailer + the max capacity that you can haul}. For a vehicle to qualify under a taxable category it should do more than 5000 miles in a tax year and the minimum gross weight should be 55000 lbs and above.

Do you want to evade penalties? It’s about time you filed your form 2290

A month has passed by, yet the Form 2290 deadline has not..! The Form 2290 HVUT tax returns are due by the end of this month. Penalties for HVUT non-compliance are serious money; it is equal to 4.5 percent of total tax due, assessed on a monthly basis. Late filers who don’t make an HVUT payment also face an additional monthly penalty equal to 0.5 percent of the total tax due. Additional interest charges of 0.54 percent per month accumulate as well.

Well, who would wish to spare the hard-earned money towards paying a late filing fee with interests, nobody right!  Hence, don’t hold up until the deadline to be the last moment filer that would make easy things hard and hard things even harder; that even tends us to commit mistakes over the Form 2290 while filing in a rush.
